Home Fellowship of Baton Rouge exists for the glory of God and "for the sake of the elect" (2 Tim. 2:10). We are praying for Almighty God to save His people and gather them together in one accord for their mutual edification.
On Sunday afternoons, families are gathering in homes throughout Baton Rouge for joyful fellowship! Our purpose is to "stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel" (Phil. 1:27). We pray, sing, learn, discuss God's Word, and break bread together. We slow down for unrushed conversation, so we can encourage each other to live and walk in the Spirit (Gal. 5:25).
In accordance with 1 Cor. 11-14, our house church gatherings are participatory in nature and loosely follow a 3-part Spirit-led structure of Participatory Edification, In-Depth Bible Lesson, and the Lord's Supper in the midst of a joyful feast.
And they
continued steadfastly
in the apostles’ doctrine
and fellowship,
in the breaking of bread,
and in prayers.
Acts 2:42
Contact us by phone or email if you're interested in joining us. If you are a born again (John 3) disciple of Jesus Christ and you're looking for a church home that's committed to sound doctrine, verse-by-verse Bible study, prayer, evangelism, and walking out the "one-anothers" in sweet fellowship, we'd love to meet you and hear your story! In the meantime, you may learn more about our doctrine here.
Therefore if there is any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and mercy, fulfill my joy by being
like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.
Phil. 2:1-2
